Counterfeit lo #2

As I didn't add any alphabet stickers to my kits I decided to use up the last few I had in last month's kit. I had to add a few other sheets to even make these wobbly titles. Now I really must throw them out. I find that really hard though. There is always one vowel on and I think I have to keep them. Regardless of the fact it's only an i and the occasional o.

Sorry, this one turned out spectacularly wonky. Not only the title is exceptionally hotch potch but the photo is equally bad. Ah, well, seeing it like this made me realize that there is really no point in holding on to these letters. Out the go along with the silly juicer bits.

PS: Not wanting to throw a spanner in the works Missus W but proper juicers are generally easy to clean.

Counterfeit kit lo #1

Finally I got around to use my newly created kit.

Little Monkey imagines a machine inside his tummy which serves tea, coffee, parcels, magazines and various things as needed. He started this on the weekend and ever since he asks us whether we need something. It's terribly sweet and he gets very excited when we ask him for extras like milk for the tea. He starts his service at 6.25 in the morning. Not so sweet that. But after I had my first "cup of tea" he normally whispers whether it's ok to play with Thomas the tank engine and that occupies him long enough for me to have another nap until it's get up time for real.

I added the little frame for the date and the cardstock but everything else is from my kit.

And it contains a number 4 so I also completed challenge #1 just by coincidence. The 4 is because Little Monkey is 4, that means he's a big boy.

New Counterfeit Kit

This month's kit to counterfeit is by Birds of a feather. Very boyish I thought.

So I had to make a version for the girl too.

And some things that go with both like the journaling stamps. I had them for ages but never used them as they were not with the other journaling spots.

Counterfeit Kit Colour challenge and a layout

Just when my brand new Aqua markers arrived in the mail the colour challenge was announced over on the Counterfeit Kit challenge blog. How's this for a coincidence? I made these two cards and the one for my Mojo Monday challenge. I had to use some patterned paper from my stash as I've nearly used up my kit and I have a few photos still left that I want to use with it.

Here's another layout I made with the kit, I had Big Monkey fill out a little survey to see what has changed to previous years. Her favourite colour is now green after it has been light blue for a few years now, pink has long been out of favour but it's not as hated as it was just a year ago.

I want to do the same with Little Monkey but so far he didn't want to answer. I could probably answer for him but there might be some surprises, you never know.

Counterfeit kit layout #1

I made the first layout with my kit and I used one of the borders I had for ages and also the big journalling block. I am rather pleased with this. I also managed to use some memorabilia in the form of a little letter Big Monkey had written to Little Monkey. She normally doesn't do this, well, as he can't read it's a bit pointless but she tucked this note into his bed one night. So I thought it would be sweet to keep this to show them when they are older. I always keep notes and messages but it all gets overhand and I rarely use them on my pages so this is a good start. What do you do with these memorabilia?
