The Party invitation

So here is my master piece:

Little Monkey still loves Peppa Pig so he will get a Peppa Pig themed party. Therefore we also needed piggy shaped invitations. I think she turned out well, Little Monkey certainly loved it, he hopped in excitement. He is telling everybody now about his Peppa Party. Big Monkey is equally excited and has prepared a list of games to play like pin the glasses onto Daddy Pig, a treasure hunt to find Polly Parrot, pass the parcel, musical dinosaurs and what's the time Grandpa Pig. She's decided that the cake has to be chocolate, I'm thinking cupcakes. I'm sure we'll find a compromise, no rule that says we can't have more than one variety. But we agreed that we need Peppa Pig decorations and party bags, obviously. So a trip to the big toy shop is in order and we need to find a place that will blow up our balloons properly now that the local card shop has closed its doors.

A Birthday Party

We were invited to a 8th Birthday party of one of Big Monkey's friends. There was cupcake decorating.

And Daddy Monkey got to hold a little Baby Monkey Friend who clearly disapproves of the amount of coffee he consumes...

Little Monkey also decorated a cup cake, it was a bit more of delegation than hands on work but he ate it all by himself. We had to remove the orange glitter before I was allowed to take the photo as it tasted yucky and therefore should not be on the cup cake.

There was also a lady who did face paintings. Little Monkey chose to be a scary tiger.

And here is the Birthday Girl busy at work. The party was a Decopatch event, so the children were all hard at work decorating papier mache animals with pretty papers. Big Monkey made a very pretty elephant and Little Monkey took a while to be persuaded and then decorated a tortoise. I thought I had taken photos of their masterpieces but looks like I didn't so will have to do that later.

Little Monkeys big Party - 365 - 057

Today was Little Monkey's first proper party at a venue. Months before his birthday he announced that his party was going to be in Clowntown. And that he would have a Peppa Pig cake. At his birthday he did have a Peppa cake so now it was time for the Clowntown party. This is an enormous softplay centre loved by all kids. Which means that it was packed. Poor Monkey was so excited he had a big meltdown half way through and it wasn't helped that a little friend tried to be useful and blew out the candles on his cake. Still I think he had a good time.

365 - 030

Little Monkey was invited to a Birthday Party today. Big Monkey wanted to come too as she knows the little girl. She does like to take care of little ones. The parents of the little girl kindly allowed her to join in, gave her party food and even a goody bag.
The party was held at a Leisure Centre where they had transformed the gymnastics area into a toddler gym. The Monkeys had a blast, climbing on the equipment, balancing and jumping into a new version of a ball pond. Instead of balls it was filled with foam squares which apparently made it even harder to get out. I didn't try it out as the birthday girl's dad spent an extraordinary long time trying to scramble out again.
Little Monkey had an even better time when he realized that the puzzle cubes could be lined up to make a choo choo train and the hula hoops could be the steam and the steering wheel. He was really disappointed when it was time to eat cake! The fairy cakes had purple icing so his party world was soon in order again.

They were running around so much my little phone camera couldn't keep up and all the photos turned out blurry. I think that is proof that they enjoyed themselves.
